A warm welcome from Pastor Charlie Scott. . .

As Pastor, please allow me this occasion to invite you to personally visit our church. We believe God's Word provides the only solid foundation on which to build your life. We believe God has a purpose for every life. That's why we make no apology for teaching and preaching the Scriptures, the Bible.

The people and families here at South Charlotte Baptist Church have discovered the joy of being a part of a friendly Bible-believing church that works hard to meet the needs of every age group.

Our hearts prayer is for you to know Christ as Savior and Lord and be involved in a church home that cares for you. We have been serving the South Charlotte area for 30 years and are looking forward to what the Lord has for us in the future.

Won't you and your family come and worship with us this Sunday? We look forward to meeting you and having you as our honored guests.

Pastor Charlie Scott and wife, Donna

Rev. Charlie T. Scott Jr. became pastor of South Charlotte Baptist Church in 1989. After 19 years in retail drug store management, Pastor Scott answered the call to the ministry and moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee where he attended Tennessee Temple University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree in Pastoral Studies. Upon his graduation in 1986, he became an assistant pastor at Church of the Open Door in Westminster, Maryland. Two years later, on April 2, 1989 South Charlotte Baptist Church called him as pastor. He began his ministry at SCBC on April 23 of that year with 57 people in the Morning Service. The church has continued to grow steadily and solidly from that time. His wife, Donna, has served as the Church Secretary since their arrival at SCBC.

The Campbell Family

Pastor Joseph Campbell, Stephenie, Jeremiah, Mollie, Titus, and Silas

Pastor Campbell and his family came to South Charlotte Baptist Church in June of 2000 to begin serving as Youth and Music Pastors.  Before coming to SCBC, Pastor Campbell served as the Youth and Music Pastors at Pineland Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia.  He graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth Ministries and a minor in Sacred Music. Upon graduation he traveled as a college representative for two years prior to his ministry in Savannah.

Pastor Campbell grew up in a Christian home in Marshalltown, Iowa and attended a Christian school throughout his life but it was not until he went off to college that he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

Pastor Campbell's desire for the young people of South Charlotte can be summed up by 3 John 4, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."  His goal for the music ministry of SCBC can be seen in Christ's words in John 12:32 "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

Stephenie, while serving at home rearing their children, works faithfully along side her husband with the teenagers as well as teaches in the Sunday morning Children's Church.

Pastor Randy Waller & Becky

Pastor Waller joined the staff of SCBC in June, 2007.  Originally from Titusville, Florida, both Pastor Waller and his wife were saved in their youth and became active in the youth group of Temple Baptist Church in Titusville.  While serving in the United States Air Force, Pastor Waller and Becky were married in 1977. After graduating from Baptist Bible College in 1985, they served in two different church ministries in their home state of Florida. Most recently, Pastor Waller has served as the senior pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lake Mary, Florida which, under the leading of the Lord, he started in 1990.
